Accessibility

At The Dental Implant Clinic, we aim to make our practice as welcoming and accessible as possible. If you have any accessibility or mobility requirements, please let us know when booking your appointment so that we can discuss the most suitable arrangements for your visit.

Access to the building

There are three tall steps at the entrance to the building. We have a portable ramp available to assist wheelchair users and patients with reduced mobility.

As the ramp may need to be put in place before your arrival, we kindly ask that you contact us in advance if you require this facility.

Wheelchair access and downstairs facilities

We have one dental surgery on the ground floor that can accommodate a wheelchair user. If you require wheelchair access or would prefer to avoid stairs, please let us know when booking your appointment so that, where appropriate, we can arrange for you to be seen in the downstairs surgery.

We also have hygiene facilities available downstairs for patients who have difficulty managing stairs within the building.

Toilet facilities
Our toilet is fitted with support handrails to assist patients. However, due to the size and layout of our historic building, the toilet is not wheelchair accessible.
Accessibility

We have five parking spaces directly outside the practice, subject to availability.

For patients who require parking close to the practice due to mobility or accessibility needs, we will do our best to arrange an appointment at 9:00am or 2:00pm, as these appointment times may provide the best opportunity for a parking space to be available.

Please note that parking cannot be guaranteed and is subject to availability.

Additional support

We encourage patients to let us know about any mobility, sensory, communication or other accessibility requirements before their appointment. We will always do our best to make reasonable arrangements and ensure you feel as comfortable and supported as possible during your visit.

Patients are welcome to bring a carer, family member or companion to their appointment where appropriate.

Before your appointment
Please let us know about any accessibility or mobility requirements when booking your appointment. This allows us to make suitable arrangements where possible, including:
  • Use of our portable ramp
  • Booking the wheelchair-accessible downstairs surgery, where appropriate
  • Arranging downstairs hygiene appointments, where suitable
  • Offering an appointment at 9:00am or 2:00pm to improve the opportunity for an on-site parking space to be available
