On the 11th of November 2014 Jonathan, Colin and Tim delivered a keynote lecture on ‘Perfect Aesthetics’. The lecture examined how the dental team and the technicians work closely together to deliver a perfect implant aesthetic result.
Elliott Ballantyne joins the Dental Implant Clinic Team in September 2014. Elliott has a broad range of dental skills, and completed his Masters in Dental Implantology with Distinction from The University of Bristol in 2013.
We have one the largest implant teams in the UK, with the depth of knowledge and experience to deal with all types of missing tooth related problems, from the single missing tooth right to the replacement of all the teeth. For some ideas of what dental implants can achieve click here.
The Dental Implant Clinic’s clinical teaching of The University of Bristol MSc in Dental Implantology is going from strength to strength.
The below photo shows the year 2 students who are now in the final phase of their MSc programme, along with Jonathan Schofield from The Dental Implant Clinic. They will soon be writing their dissertations.
Best of luck to all of you and very well done for some excellent clinical work over the last two years.
Twenty five young dentists met on a wonderful evening on 19th June as part of The Dental Implant Clinic’s Young Dentist Study Club. Leoni and Luis, our endodontists, gave a splendid talk on common endodontic problems. The meeting overran as there were so many questions! It was followed by a barbecue and outdoor projection of the England match, which was markedly less successful. Many thanks to Sarah, Kirsty and Sophie from the Clinic team who were so helpful.
The next meeting is on how to organise a complex treatment plan and how to present it to patients, including talking about money. The speaker will be Jonathon Schofield. For more information, follow this link: http://courses.thedentalimplantclinic.com/
It took a month of meticulous cleaning and repair work to the beautiful Bath Ashlar stone to restore The Dental Implant Clinic’s exterior to its former glory. Now that the scaffolding is down, the building looks stunning and really stands out from the road.
The building retains many of its period features which are preserved in the elegant waiting room and reception. The treatment rooms house ‘state of the art ‘ equipment to allow the latest techniques in implant dentistry.
We are very proud that Kirsty has gained her qualification in sedation for dental nurses. This is a tough qualification to gain and her achievement will add greatly to the skill set of our team. For many of our more apprehensive patients sedation will make the treatment easier as they will be more relaxed. For more information on dental sedation click here: Nervous Patients →
